Unlocking Imaging Biomarkers in Rare Lung Disease Through Curated Real-World Data
The World Orphan Drug Congress is the largest and most established orphan drugs and rare diseases meeting of its kind across the globe. The event brings together industry experts and service providers to exchange ideas and explore new collaborations.
In her session, “Unlocking Imaging Biomarkers in Rare Lung Disease Through Curated Real-World Data,” OSIC Executive Director Elizabeth Estes discussed OSIC’s progress in developing biomarkers for rare lung disease as a result of collaboration between academia, industry, and philanthropy. She also showcased three FDA-approved algorithms already in clinical practice thanks to OSIC’s curated dataset.
Additionally, OSIC was selected for poster presentation at the event. “A Global Effort Using Real-World Curated Data, Machine Learning and Collaboration to Fight Rare Lung Diseases” highlighted the OSIC Cloud Data Repository as well as OSIC’s collaborative effort to leverage real-world data and machine learning in the fight against rare lung diseases.
